George Luther Mitchell

George Luther Mitchell (b. 1884, d. 1969) was a physician in the Smithville area.
He was a 1994 inductee into the Monroe County Hall of Fame on which his plaque reads 'Honors (POST-1946) A physician who served the Smithville area for 54 years. One history of the county calls him "The Last Of His Kind, the old country doctor who ignored his own welfare, and uncomplainingly put his patients first and foremost in his life."'
