Young Professionals of Bloomington

From Bloomingpedia
YPOB's first meeting at Lennie's hosted over 40 people.

Young Professionals of Bloomington (YPOB) is a new club. The goal is to provide a place for people to connect, network and socialize. There is no fee to be a member, all you have to do is show up. There is no structure, sales pitch, nor lecture involved. This is an open, friendly, inviting opportunity to network with other people who are young at heart and want to talk about what they do.

Why: YPOB is an open forum designed to bring people together. Anyone and everyone is welcome, our gatherings will be free flowing opportunities to network. The goal is to provide Bloomington with a space for people to intentionally connect with others, both socially and professionally. Everybody is welcome and encouraged to come, meet people and have fun!

Mission Statement

YPOB is an open forum designed to bring people together. Anyone and everyone is welcome, our gatherings will be free flowing opportunities to network. The goal is to provide Bloomington with a space for people to intentionally connect with others, both socially and professionally. There is no age designation, and no boundary to what "professional" means. Everybody is welcome and encouraged to come, meet people and have fun!

What Does YPOB Mean?

Young: YPOB defines a "young" person as someone who is interested in meeting other individuals in the local community who are passionate and enthusiastic about growing their networking connections and professional knowledge. A minimum age of 21 is encouraged as many meeting venues are 21 and over establishments.

Professionals of Bloomington: YPOB defines a "professional of Bloomington" as a person who has a vested interest in the success of the local Bloomington economy and who is interested in developing a stronger connection to other professional persons established in the Bloomington community. Professions range from business, to the arts and not-for-profit sector, to government positions and to those in graduate school.
