Rex Grossman

From Bloomingpedia

Rex Grossman is a quarterback for the Chicago Bears football team. He was born in Bloomington on August 23, 1980, and continues to reside in Bloomington during the off-season.

After being selected by the Bears as a first-round pick in 2003, Grossman spent much of his first three years sidelined with injuries. He played his first full season in 2006-2007 with a squad known for its defensive prowess, and despite inconsistent play led his team to the 2007 Super Bowl. His performance there was widely panned and was seen by many as a major contributing factor to the Chicago loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Rex Grossman is the son of Daniel Grossman, a prominent eye doctor in Bloomington. Rex Grossman played for Bloomington High School South during his teenage years.
