Henry T. Simmons

Henry Taylor Simmons (1856-1922) was an early 20th century businessman. He moved to Bloomington with his wife, the former Carrie Brodix in 1885 and opened the Corner Clothing Store at 101 N. College Avenue.

Sometime after 1900 he switched to real estate, opening the Simmons Real Estate company.

Simmons was a lifelong member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and a Mason. He and his wife had six children: Ethel, Thomas, Harry, Fred, Edwin, and Richard.
