Edward Anders Sovik

Edward Anders Sovik (1918-2014) designed the First United Church at 2420 East 3rd Street in Bloomington. He earned a B. A. degree from St. Olaf's College, studied theology at the Lutheran Theological Seminary and in 1949 graduated from the School of Architecture at Yale University. Sovik became a Member of the American Institute of Architects in 1953 and a Fellow in 1967.

An early photo of the First United Church can be seen at the Monroe County History Center.
