Woodburn Hall

From Bloomingpedia

Woodburn Hall is a classroom and office building in the center of the Indiana University campus. It contains the offices of the African Studies and Political Science departments. It is located at 1100 East 7th Street, just east of the Indiana Memorial Union. It is next to the Lilly Library and across from the IU Art Museum.

Woodburn Hall is home to two of the twenty-two murals within the "Social History of the State of Indiana" series by Thomas Hart Benton. These two murals are very controversal because of their depiction of the Ku Klux Klan burning down a cross. 16 more of the murals within this series are located at the IU Auditorium.
