The Navruz Festival at Indiana University is one of the largest in the United States. Navruz is a Central Asian festival of spring. The festival at IU has been held every year since at least 1997 and probably before that. It attracts Central Asian people and others from around the United States every year to participate and watch. The festival includes performances by people from each of the counties, displays and food. It is not uncommon for over 500 people to attend this festival.
